Krav Maga Federation – South Korea (KMF – AC), based in Seoul, South Korea and Ashdod, Israel, was originally developed in Israel by Expert Alain Cohen, Krav Maga Coach from Wingate institute and Israeli Ministry of Defense Supplier.
Krav Maga is the official system of self-defense and hand-to-hand combat employed by the Israeli Defense Forces and the Israeli National and Military Police, as well as Israeli special operations and security units. Krav Maga is also taught under the auspices of the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Wingate Institute.
The KMF-AC training program teaches the techniques of Krav Maga as developed by Imi Lichtenfeld. In addition, the KMF curriculum by Alain Cohen incorporates the art of neurological strikes and was originally geared towards professionals working in the security field. These techniques have also now been adjusted to provide an accessible self-defense program for civilian students.
Krav Maga focuses on performing defensive and offensive exercises, developing the mental fortitude necessary to follow through with learned techniques, and nurturing and advancing the student. The KMF-AC program contains special approaches, tactics, techniques, subjects, drills, and training methods for the different sectors:
★ Civilians of all ages, men and women, young and old;
★ Law-enforcement officers;
★ Military personnel and units;
★ Correction service officers and wardens;
★ Security officers;
★ Close protection officers;
★ Undercover agents;
★ Anti-terrorist groups;
★ Special and commando units
